Love & Relationships

Love and relationships are two things that have puzzled the human race, and with no real guidelines on how these two should be handled, I feel it is important to start with the main root to love. What is God’s purpose for us regarding Love and relationships?

Here, I will quote several notations and passages from the Bible that exclusively explain Love and relationships.

1 John 3:18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8  Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.  Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

Song of Solomon 8:6-7  Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised.

Ephesians 4:2-3 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

This said, we all have an obligation within ourselves to accept each other with love, not by words, but by deeds, and to accord each other the respect of God, for He is the root of love.

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
