Hollywood moms on parenting

Celebrities seem to have everything all figured out. Glamor, high profiles, money, mobility, heck, even their children make news headlines before they are even born! Is it not the life most people long for?

But as previous interviews have indicated, not all celebrities have a smooth sailing. Holly wood mothers are having the toughest time navigating between work and parenting and it never gets any easier! Raising a child as an eight hour employee is hands full as it is, what about parents who have to work around the clock and travel at the same time meeting obligations required by their families? Even with assistants, there are quite a remarkable number of celebrity moms who have shown uttermost commitment to their children.

Victoria Beckham is one full hands mom who has been criticized for looking tired. She three boys, namely Brooklyn (11), Romeo (8), and Cruz (5), and has recently added a girl to the brood, Harper Seven (named after her father’s jersey number), with husband David Beckham. This number has not deterred her from growing her fashion line to the level it is, and still be a first hand mom to her little girl who needs her constant attention.

When asked why she looked tired Vic said, “Look, if people want to say I’m miserable then so be it. I’m really not. I have a lot on my plate. I’m not going to lie about it, I’m tired. I’m really tired but I’m also very happy with my life. I’m basically just like any woman who’s working and has lots of children – it’s tough….. I’m not getting much sleep at all. Harper’s not sleeping that great. I’m up with the baby as all moms are and I wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s not a team of people doing it for me”

Angelina Jolie is another handful mom who not only works a lot but runs her family of six children. Her husband Brad Pitt is an award winner, as she, and have both devised a way to manage their large brood. Jolie has been criticized about how she allows Shiloh to dress herself in tomboy clothes. Jolie noted, ““I think it’s fascinating, the choices she (Shiloh) is making. And I would never be the kind of parent to force somebody to be something they are not. I think that is just bad parenting.”

Reese Witherspoon, after her break up with Ryan Phillippe father of her two children Ava (13) and Deacon (9), she had a rough time coping with single parenthood. She is now married to talent agent Jim Toth, and when asked to comment on single parenthood she said, “I feel so much relief. I don’t think I realized how stressed I was being a single parent. It was really, really stressful. It’s not easy on anybody.” However, when asked whether she would have children in future she said, “I would love that!…. I’m really happy,” Witherspoon told Us Weekly. “I feel really good and I’m at a really good place in my life.”

Julia Roberts had a little something to add on our thoughts on parenting… “I think it’s challenging for everybody in different ways. My challenges as a wife and a mother are very different from the ones portrayed in the movie, but I think for everybody it’s a hard challenge.”
